Meet Crema

My story with coffee began in 2006 when I started my first barista job in a small drive-thru coffee shop in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Although I didn't know much about the coffee industry at that time, I was soon about to embark on an exciting and passionate journey into that world. 

Third wave coffee was starting to make an imprint on the socialization of coffee, and I was excited to be a part of it! As I continued my journey I began to learn the ins and outs of what makes a good coffee - from roasting and brewing techniques, to discovering unique flavor profiles and extracting the perfect espresso shot.

After five years of managing a coffee shop in Arizona, my journey brought me here to beautiful Maui, Hawaii, where I furthered my knowledge by farming coffee trees and helping to grow the business of a local coffee shop. 

Now, as I step into this new chapter, I look forward to sharing my passion of coffee by bringing the coffee bar to you! 

My story with coffee began as a customer of mom-and-pop coffee shops - not always the best coffee, but always finding an enjoyable experience in great conversations and a place to connect with my community. 

At the time I didn't know much about coffee, and would regularly doctor up my morning cup to resemble something more of a hot chocolate. Over the years my palate matured and I found that good coffee was not just something masked in cream and sugar, but rather a brilliant combination of variables. 

My realization in finding that there was so much more flavor in allowing the taste and profiles of different varieties, roasting techniques, and brewing processes to come through has led me to value the true dedication of each step that brings us from seed to cup.
